The importance of understanding the science
To write convincingly about scientific topics, you first need to understand the subject. That’s where I’m different from most B2B copywriters. With over 25 years in science, including a Ph.D. from Cambridge University, I’m on your wavelength when it comes to understanding technical material.
My particular strengths are:
- Chemistry and physics
- Materials science and engineering
- Laboratory instrumentation
- Botany and environmental science.
However, I’ll happily take on topics outside those areas – just ask me and I’ll let you know if your project is something I’ll be able to help with.
Easier briefing, quicker review
What does all this mean for you? Essentially, an easier and quicker process than you’d get from a writer or designer without a scientific background.
Briefing will be easier because we’ll be able to share ideas on the most effective way of communicating scientific data or concepts. Not only that, but review of written drafts will be quicker because you won’t have to spend time correcting misunderstandings of technical terminology or subtleties of meaning.
